Alpinestars RSRV and Heliot Emil partner with The Webster, for a unique pop-up during Miami Art Basel.
In yet another profound exploration of form and function, RSRV and Heliot Emil have reunited. As an extension of their 2024 NYFW collaboration, the two co-conspirators tagged in industrial design team NM3 and Miami fashion institution The Webster for an exclusive pop-up experience during Art Basel Miami 2024.
The Webster hosted the event in their iconic South Beach boutique, which featured the Alpinestars RSRV x Heliot Emil apparel collection displayed amongst NM3-designed furniture and delicately balanced decor objects.
The apparel collection consisted of 15 jackets that began life as Alpinestars motorcycle jackets, before being reimagined by the Heliot Emil ateliers. The bespoke, 1-of-1 jackets were created exclusively for the event.
The installation's centerpiece was an imposing, yet inviting sofa built from 37 deployed airbags salvaged from the race suits of Alpinestars MotoGP athletes. The sofa reflected a 3-pronged examination of form and function.
Each of the three collaborators brought unique (though often overlapping) perspectives in their interpretation of design, utility, safety, comfort, and style, which NM3 assembled into an artistic expression of a sofa.
The pop-up event represented a tradition of collaboration between Alpinestars and Heliot Emil with the long-standing partnership being further elevated with the addition of NM3 and The Webster.
