1-2 for alpinestars and toyota racing at inaugural wec 6 hours of barcelona in spain, celebrating manufacturer and team championships

The #8 TR010 HYBRID car of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa, led its #7 of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries to a dominant 1-2 winning display in difficult conditions at the first 6 Hours of Barcelona race in the penultimate round of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship. The cars finished within 0.583s of each other after 198 laps, and more than 39 seconds clear of their nearest competitors. 

Toyota Racing secured both the FIA Hypercar World Endurance Manufacturers’ Championship and Teams’ Championship with one round to spare.
